Africa's second longest reigning president
The 89-year-old president of Cameroon, Paul Biya, is now the second longest-standing president of Africa, second only to Theodoro Obiang, the president of Equatorial Guinea who has been in office in 1979.
Last month, 11/6 supporters called for him to continue running for another term at the end of his term of office in 2025 at a celebration celebrating his 39 years in power.
